Meet John

“I wasn’t just raised in Washington—I was shaped by it.”

I was born and raised in the heart of Washington, North Carolina. Growing up in a tight-knit neighborhood, I spent weekends on the waterfront, volunteered at Eagle’s Wings with my family, and played football at Kugler field. My earliest lessons in leadership didn’t come from textbooks—they came from watching my parents show up for the community, day in and day out.

Those early experiences gave me a deep sense of pride in my hometown—and a lifelong belief that strong communities are built when neighbors look out for one another.

After earning my degree in Business from East Carolina University, I returned home to Washington and started a small business serving the local community. What began as a simple idea quickly grew into something more—grounded in fair pricing, reliable service, and strong relationships.

Running a business has taught me how to listen, solve problems, and manage resources responsibly. I’ve navigated the ups and downs of entrepreneurship, from staffing and budgeting to staying resilient through economic uncertainty. That experience reinforced a core belief: local government should support the people and businesses that make our town work—not stand in their way.

I’m running for City Council because I believe Washington deserves bold, responsive leadership. From rising housing costs to aging infrastructure, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges facing everyday residents—and I knows it’s time for solutions, not politics.

My priorities are clear: invest in safer neighborhoods, support working families, and bring transparency to local government. I am not running for a title—I’m running to make sure your voice is heard at the table.
